Northwich: Aisling McGrath is taking part in the Perfect Pitch competition. This event is inspired by the show Dragon’s Den. It invites students from OneSchool Global to create and present new business plans.
Twenty teams of five students will compete globally. Aisling, a year 13 student, is excited about this chance to be creative. She feels it’s a supportive environment to test her ideas.
Aisling has always dreamed of starting her own business. She felt unsure about how to begin. This competition has changed that for her. It offers access to mentors and valuable business advice.
She loves working on a global level. Aisling is learning how business varies in different countries. She’s also making connections with students from around the world.
This experience is boosting her confidence and skills for the future. Each team must create a business idea and a three-minute promotional video.
The top seven teams will move to the final round, with finalists announced in February. They will pitch their ideas live via Zoom to a panel of business leaders.
Matthew Phillips, from OneSchool Global, says this competition helps students think creatively. It allows them to develop ideas that can impact the real world.
He believes this approach enhances their learning. Students will create a detailed business plan, seeking start-up capital in exchange for a share of their business.
Matthew encourages students to broaden their horizons. He wants them to know they can achieve anything. Perfect Pitch is designed to support this goal. May the best idea win!
