North Yorkshire Council bin collection details after snow

North Yorkshire: Last week, the area got hit hard with snow, and those freezing temperatures didn’t help either. It really threw a wrench in the usual bin collection schedule.

So, the council had to cancel collections for the week. But don’t worry! They’ve got a plan in place for everyone in North Yorkshire to get back on track.

According to their website, they mentioned that household waste and recycling collections might be a bit delayed this week due to the snow and bad weather.

Richmondshire area

Household waste: They’ll try to collect as usual, but some pickups might be late. Just leave your bin out, and they’ll grab it as soon as they can.

Recycling: All recycling collections are off today, January 13. So, bring your recycling back in, and they’ll take any extra stuff during the next scheduled collection.

Harrogate area

They’re aiming to collect as normal, but again, some might be delayed. Keep any extra recycling clean and dry, and put it in clear sacks for the next collection.

Hambleton area

Same story here! They’ll collect as usual where they can, but some pickups might be late. Any missed recycling will be collected at the next scheduled time.

Craven area

They’ll keep collecting as normal, but some might be delayed. If they miss any collections, they’ll come back on Monday, January 13.

Ryedale and Selby areas

They’re also trying to collect as usual, but delays are possible.

Scarborough area

They’ll continue with collections where possible, but some may be delayed.

Whitby area

Just leave your bin out, and they’ll come to collect it in the next few days.
