Harrow: Big changes are on the horizon for this North London borough in 2025. They’re planning to build a new SEND school, which is the first in 20 years, and a bunch of new homes. It’s exciting stuff!

This year, they’ll decide on several council-owned sites for housing. If all goes well, we could see thousands of new homes popping up. Plus, there’s the controversial ‘Tesco Towers’ project, which could bring even more housing options.

On top of that, the new SEND school will create 292 spots for local kids. That’s a big deal since there’s a growing need for special educational needs places in the area. The council is really pushing for this to happen.

And let’s not forget about the old Safari Cinema! It’s getting a makeover and will reopen as The Dominion. They’re planning to add some flats and a four-screen cinema, which should be a nice addition to the community.

There’s also the Byron Quarter project, aiming to build 149 new homes on a site that’s been empty for ages. It’s all about making better use of the space and providing family-sized homes.

Lastly, the Poets Corner development could bring around 1,100 new homes, but there’s some chatter about how many of those will be affordable. The council is working hard to make sure there’s enough for everyone.

So, keep an eye on Harrow! There’s a lot happening, and it’s all set to change the landscape of the borough in the next couple of years.
