North East Residents Demand Alcohol Ban at Local Airport
Local residents are urging for a ban on alcohol at the airport to enhance safety.
North East, Ryanair, Airport, Alcohol Ban, Travel Safety
Newcastle: Recently, there’s been quite a buzz among North East residents about the idea of banning alcohol at the airport. It all kicked off after Ryanair suggested a two-drink limit at airport bars. They believe this could help reduce rowdy behavior and make travel safer for everyone.
People are chatting about it online, and opinions are all over the place. Ian Wilson chimed in, saying, “We should just ban alcohol altogether and breath test passengers.” That’s a pretty strong stance!
On the flip side, James Crook raised a good point, asking, “Are they going to stop people from drinking a ton before they even get to the airport?” It’s true; some folks might just pre-game before their flight.
Others are worried about how this could affect responsible drinkers. Dorothy Clark pointed out, “It’s not fair to penalize the responsible ones for the actions of a few.”
Eva Leighton added, “For short flights, a couple of drinks should be enough anyway.” It seems like there’s a mix of opinions on what’s reasonable.
Louise Robbins shared a wild story about a flight experience, saying, “I saw a woman pee herself in her seat because she was so drunk!” She’s definitely not a fan of how drinks are handled on flights.
Ryanair is taking this seriously, too. They’ve started legal action against disruptive passengers, aiming to recover losses from incidents like a flight diversion caused by unruly behavior. They’re really cracking down on this issue.
It’s clear that the conversation around alcohol at airports is heating up, and it’ll be interesting to see where it goes from here!
