Chapel Hill: So, guess what? Bill Belichick is heading back to college football! The University of North Carolina just announced that he’s the new head coach for the Tar Heels.
Belichick shared his excitement, saying he’s always wanted to coach in college. He reminisced about growing up around the game with his dad, and now he’s ready to build something special at UNC.
It’s wild because he’s been in the NFL forever, right? From 1975 to 2023, that’s a long time! So, when news broke that he was chatting with North Carolina, a lot of folks were taken aback.
Apparently, he was surprised too, especially since no NFL teams reached out to him. Once UNC showed interest, it was like, “Well, this is it!”
