Los Angeles: Noah Centineo is more than just an internet boyfriend. His career over the last six years has really shown that.

After winning hearts in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, he’s built a solid career that goes beyond just being a heartthrob. With three exciting projects lined up for 2025, he’s set to take on a variety of roles that are all quite different.

The 28-year-old actor is back as the charming jock Peter Kavinsky in Season 2 of XO, Kitty, which drops on Netflix on January 16. Just two weeks later, on January 30, the second season of The Recruit will premiere, where he stars as a CIA lawyer and also serves as an executive producer. Plus, he’s part of A24’s intense drama Warfare, alongside other popular actors.

While he’s moved past his heartthrob image, those early roles helped him gain massive social media fame. Centineo, who grew up in Miami before moving to Los Angeles at 15, became a sensation in 2018 when To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before hit Netflix. He skyrocketed from 300,000 to 11 million Instagram followers in just two days!

He was featured in major publications like The New York Times and W Magazine. People loved him for being a “nice guy” and a “cultural obsession.”

Centineo himself said, “I had no problem being an ‘internet boyfriend.’ It was an incredible time in my life to impact so many people worldwide.”

In 2022, he launched his own company, Arkhum Productions, and played Atom Smasher in Black Adam. He also starred in The Recruit, where he plays a rookie CIA lawyer caught up in international espionage. The show did really well, landing high spots on streaming charts and getting renewed for a second season.

He compares his early career to college years, saying The Recruit feels like his post-grad experience. “I think of The Fosters as my first two years of college, and now I’ve graduated,” he shared.

Unlike his previous roles, The Recruit marked a fresh start for him. He was heavily involved in bringing the project to Netflix, and he didn’t plan to become an action star; it just turned out that way.

“The plan wasn’t to jump into action,” he explained. “I’m lucky to have the chance to choose my projects now, rather than just auditioning all the time.”

Centineo is definitely entering a new phase in his career. Since his rise to fame, he’s navigated the ups and downs of Hollywood and continues to find success. With XO, Kitty, The Recruit, and Warfare all coming out in 2025, he’s proving he can do it all as both an actor and producer. And it looks like he’s just getting started!
