Nightclub property and apartments damaged after building fire in Kinsale

Kinsale: Early this morning, a fire broke out at a former nightclub and the apartments above it. The flames were fierce, but luckily, no one was inside.

Fire crews from Kinsale, along with units from Carrigaline and Bandon, rushed to the scene. They got the call around 6 am when smoke and fire were spotted.

Traffic was a bit of a mess as they cordoned off the area. Streets like Market Place and Market Quay were blocked to let the emergency teams do their thing.

By 11 am, they had the fire under control, but it left a mark. The damage was pretty serious, and it’s clear the building won’t be the same. Thankfully, everyone is safe, and that’s what matters most.
