Cincinnati: The Bengals were pretty upset on Monday night. Cowboys linebacker Marist Liufau didn’t get flagged for grabbing Joe Burrow’s facemask and pulling him down. It was a clear call, and everyone was shocked the refs missed it.

What’s even crazier is that the NFL didn’t fine Liufau for it. Usually, they’re quick to hand out fines for facemasking. Just last week, four players got fined for similar calls.

This missed call hurt the Bengals especially because it happened on a crucial third down. Instead of getting a first down, they had to punt the ball away. Talk about a tough break!

Fans are getting frustrated since it seems like facemasking penalties are being overlooked more often this season. There’s been chatter about making these calls reviewable, but the NFL had all the chances to look at this one and still decided it wasn’t worth a fine.
