Newtownabbey Man Arrested for Attempted Murder After Shooting Incident

A man has been arrested following a shooting in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim, with another man hospitalized but injuries not life-threatening

Newtownabbey: A man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a shooting on Monday night. The incident happened in the Beverley Road area, and it was quite a scene.

The 29-year-old suspect is still in custody, while another man was taken to the hospital. Thankfully, his injuries aren’t life-threatening.

This all went down just before 10 PM, and there was a heavy police presence, including armed officers and sniffer dogs. The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service was also on the scene, responding quickly to the situation.

They received a 999 call around 9:40 PM about the incident. Two emergency crews and two ambulance officers were dispatched. After assessing the situation, they took one patient to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

It’s a serious situation, and the police are continuing their investigation. Let’s hope everyone involved gets the help they need.
