Newcastle Man Charged with Assault Following Football Incident
A Newcastle man faces charges after a violent altercation during a football match in Norwich, leaving one man injured

Norwich: So, there was this incident during the England vs Denmark match at The Woolpack. A guy named Jack Dey, 33, from Newcastle, got into a brawl outside the pub.
Apparently, things got pretty wild, and Dey allegedly knocked another guy out. This all went down while fans were celebrating the 1-1 draw on June 20, 2024.
After the fight, Dey took off, leaving the other guy on the ground. It took a while for help to arrive, with bystanders and paramedics stepping in before the victim was rushed to the hospital.
Fast forward seven months, and now Dey has been charged with common assault. He’s set to appear in court on February 4, 2025. It’s a real shame that a fun day out turned into such chaos.
