Plymouth: A new bus service is coming to town! It will connect Plympton and Plymstock. The service starts next month, and it’s exciting news for local residents.

The Number 4 Stagecoach service is also getting an extension. MP Rebecca Smith is thrilled about this change. She worked hard for a year to make it happen, gathering feedback from the community.

The new bus link launches on Sunday, March 30. It will also serve the new crematorium, The Park. Rebecca has been advocating for better transport between these areas, meeting with bus company leaders and council officials.

She expressed her happiness that the Council listened to her requests. This new bus link will help many people who travel between Plympton and Plymstock for shopping and services.

Rebecca is focused on improving transport in her area. Plympton has about 26,481 residents, while Plymstock has around 24,103. Together, they make a vibrant community of over 50,000 people.

The new bus service will be run by Stagecoach Southwest. It’s one of 17 routes supported by the Council after a recent review of local transport.

The bus will run as Number 19, every 75 minutes from 9:30 AM to just after 5 PM daily, except on Christmas and New Year’s. The extended Number 4 will also reach Plympton Ridgeway, helping workers and students.
