Fife: Reverend Andrea Fraser was officially welcomed into the Parish of Fife: Forthview on Sunday, January 12. She’s now in charge of Aberdour and Dalgety, which is pretty exciting.

The induction service was led by Reverend Brian Porteous, the moderator of Fife Presbytery, and Reverend Dr. MaryAnn Rennie from Dunfermline Abbey gave the sermon. It sounds like it was a lovely service.

Andrea will mainly focus on the communities of Dalgety Bay and Aberdour, but she’ll also be part of the wider parish team. Fife: Forthview includes some historical areas like Inverkeithing, North Queensferry, and Rosyth, which is quite a mix.

She expressed her joy about being called to serve the congregations, saying she can’t wait to meet everyone. Whether you’re a regular or just stopping by for a coffee, she wants everyone to feel welcome.

Andrea emphasized that parish ministers are there for everyone, no matter if you’re a member or not. You can reach her through the church office or the website if you need anything.

She’s available for weddings, funerals, and baptisms at no charge, or just for a friendly chat. Andrea is really looking forward to getting to know the folks in Aberdour and Dalgety Bay.

With her background in public health and managing health services, she’s bringing a lot of experience to her new role. Having been ordained in 2023 at Dalgety Parish Church, she mentioned that Sunday’s service marked the end of one journey and the start of an exciting new one.
