New Community Radio Station Set to Launch in Greenwich This Spring
Exciting news for Greenwich! A new community radio station, LOOSE.FM, is set to open soon, bringing fresh sounds and events to the area.

Greenwich: Plans for a new community radio station are finally happening. The council has given the green light for LOOSE.FM, which will be set up in a cool shipping container.
This container will be located in the Design District at Greenwich Peninsula. Mark Freeman, the founder, is super excited about this project. He believes radio is key for building community connections.
LOOSE.FM started in 2021 and focuses on unique sounds and culture. They’ve got over 300 contributors, including DJs and creators, who are eager to share their work.
Mark mentioned that many emerging DJs have recorded their first shows with them. He’s looking forward to what they can create at the new location, especially how radio can spark imagination.
The station will be part of a vibrant community of over 1,800 creative businesses. It’s set to open in Spring and will host live shows and community events.
They’re currently working on programming, featuring both familiar faces and new talent. There will also be a new podcast segment, which sounds exciting!
Laura Flanagan, from Design District, highlighted the importance of independent radio. She’s thrilled to have LOOSE.FM join the creative scene, especially after the challenges many stations have faced.
She’s looking forward to seeing the station come to life and welcoming visitors in April. The location is perfect, right across from Central Park and near the O2 Arena.
The shipping container has been specially designed for great sound quality, so listeners can enjoy the best experience possible.
