Clapham: Preen away those thorny January blues with six delightful days of comedy at a brand new festival.
Rosebuds will showcase a carefully curated lineup of over twenty acts at The Bread & Roses Theatre on Clapham Manor Street.
From January 28 to February 2, expect everything from clowning to musical comedy and even a one-man mockumentary.
Some featured artists include Sophie Banister with her show, Let Me Be The Cool Aunt, and Jess Carrivick with Attention Seeker.
Caroline Barton’s Pineapple Princess and Isabella Thompson’s Plaything will also be part of the lineup.
The festival is organized by The Defectors, a comedy group formed by Harrison Cole, Daniel Hemsley, and James Darby.
Since 2022, they’ve hosted shows like Defective Inspector and Defective Inspector: A Stitch in Time across various London venues.
They describe their style as “fresh and punchy,” collaborating with other artists to create comedy that’s open to everyone.
