Maharashtra: The state cabinet has given the green light to some new business rules. These updates are all about making things run smoother and clearer in the government. It’s been a long time coming, as the last major changes were made way back in 1975.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is pretty excited about these changes. He believes they’ll speed up decision-making and make it more transparent for everyone. The idea is to make life easier for the people of Maharashtra. A group of secretaries looked at how other states and the Union Government do things and came up with these recommendations.

The new rules will also help streamline how the government handles its legislative work. They’re even making sure that only certain officials can issue important government resolutions. This should help cut down on any confusion.

Fadnavis has also laid out a seven-point plan for his first 100 days in office. He wants to improve the overall experience for people visiting government offices. This includes keeping things clean and making sure investors feel welcome. He’s really pushing for a better “ease of living” for everyone.

On top of that, there’s a big push for a new international airport in Pune. The government is moving forward with plans to acquire land for this project, which is expected to take about four years to complete. They’ve already identified the land needed in several villages near Pune.

In a more personal note, Fadnavis met with the widow of a local sarpanch who was tragically murdered. He assured her that justice would be served and promised to involve police officers recommended by the family in the investigation. It’s a tough situation, but he’s committed to making sure the family gets the support they need.
