Jeni Marshall from the Town Council expressed gratitude for the community’s support. They hit their Crowdfunder target, showing how much this project means to everyone.
The old track, built in the 1980s, was loved but needed a professional rebuild. It’s time to bring it back to life for the next generation.
Chris Handbury, a local who grew up using the track, donated to the campaign. He wants his son, Isaac, to enjoy it just like he did.
To celebrate, Chris built a custom bike called the Victory Park Edition. It’s a special tribute to the track’s history.
Jeni thanked everyone who contributed, shared the campaign, or spread the word. Their efforts made this project possible.
The Town Council also recognized various funders, including Enovert and Sport England, for their support.
A special donation was made in memory of North Vernon-White and for Louie Gibbons, who organized a non-uniform day at Archway School.
The new track is expected to be ready in five to six weeks. Everyone can’t wait to enjoy it!
