Memphis: The Grizzlies took on the Nets and came out on top with a solid 135-119 win. Ja Morant was on fire, scoring 28 points and dishing out 10 assists. It was a great night for Memphis, marking their fourth straight victory.
Desmond Bane also contributed nicely with 21 points, while Santi Aldama and Jaren Jackson Jr. each added 20. The Grizzlies have been on a roll, winning 10 out of their last 11 games.
Interestingly, Brooklyn had beaten Memphis in their first two matchups this season, but this time, the Grizzlies were ready. Dorian Finney-Smith led the Nets with 19 points, but it wasn’t enough as they lost for the fifth time in six games.
At halftime, Memphis was ahead 69-56, with Morant scoring 18 points in the first half. The game got a bit intense in the second half, with both teams playing tough defense.
Even though the Nets made a push with an 11-0 run early in the third quarter, the Grizzlies quickly responded with an 18-3 run to regain control. Memphis was just too strong, scoring more than their usual average of 122 points per game.
Looking ahead, the Nets will host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, while the Grizzlies are set to face the Lakers in Los Angeles on Sunday. It should be an exciting matchup!
