Avignon: The daughter of Dominique Pelicot, who was convicted of horrific crimes, has made a shocking statement. Caroline Darian believes her father should die in prison.

In her first TV interview since his sentencing, she described him as “always a sexual pervert.” Pelicot was sentenced to 20 years for drugging and facilitating the rape of his ex-wife, Gisele.

Caroline didn’t hold back, saying, “He is a dangerous man.” The interview, titled “Pelicot Trial: The Daughter’s Story,” is set to air soon.

For over a decade, Gisele was drugged and assaulted, with Pelicot even soliciting others to join in. The trial saw around 50 co-defendants found guilty, receiving sentences from three to 15 years.

Gisele chose to have a public trial, showing incredible bravery. Caroline pointed out that Pelicot’s actions were premeditated, saying, “There’s no way you can wake up one morning and say ‘okay, I’m gonna drug my wife’.”

She believes there are two sides to her father, but he consciously chose the dark path. Caroline also suspects she was a victim of his abuse, as evidence of her being drugged was found among his records.

Despite Pelicot’s denials in court, Caroline is firm in her belief. “He’s always lying,” she said, adding that she now sees him as a stranger, a criminal.

In the upcoming documentary, she will shed light on the use of drugs in sexual crimes, featuring stories from other victims. It’s set to air on France 2 soon.
