Pune: So, the Shiv Sena (UBT) just announced they’re going solo for the local bodies polls. Ambadas Danve, the Leader of the Opposition in Maharashtra, is saying the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is still united. He thinks the local elections are a different ball game, though.
Danve was chatting with reporters and mentioned that the ruling Mahayuti is trying to break up the MVA. He’s not buying it, saying their plans won’t work. The Uddhav Thackeray-led party’s decision to go it alone has raised eyebrows about the unity of the opposition.
Sanjay Raut from Shiv Sena (UBT) pointed out that their workers need more chances to grow within the party, which is why they’re contesting independently. It’s all about giving their people a fair shot.
When asked about Aaditya Thackeray meeting with CM Fadnavis, Danve said it’s fine to chat with the chief minister if it helps solve people’s issues. No harm in that, right?
Danve also took a jab at NCP leader Dhananjay Munde regarding a murder case in Beed. He claims that criminals are being protected under Munde’s watch, which is a serious accusation.
Deshmukh, the sarpanch who was murdered, had been opposing some shady dealings with an energy company. It’s a tragic situation, and Danve is calling for accountability.
He also mentioned that the number of farmers benefiting from the PM Kisan Sanman Yojana has dropped significantly. It’s gone from 1.21 crore to just 81 lakh, which is concerning.
So, it looks like the political scene in Maharashtra is heating up, and everyone’s keeping a close eye on how things unfold.
