Mumbai: So, it looks like some candidates from the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) are taking their fight to the Bombay High Court. They’re challenging the wins of Mahayuti candidates from the recent Assembly elections.

These petitions are packed with serious claims. They’re talking about issues like voter list fraud, the Election Commission not being transparent with CCTV footage, and even allegations of cash distribution and misuse of EVMs.

Some of the candidates stepping up include Prashant Jagtap from Hadapsar, Mahesh Kothe from Solapur City North, and a few others from Pune and Thane. They’re not holding back!

One of the candidates, Naresh Manera, is specifically going after Pratap Sarnaik, who’s an NCP MLA and the transport minister. Manera’s saying that there were problems with the EVM-VVPAT system at a polling booth that helped Sarnaik win.

Then there’s Manohar Madhavi, also from Shiv Sena, who’s challenging the win of BJP’s Ganesh Chandra Naik. His claims are pretty wild, saying there were duplicate votes and that the Election Commission let it slide.

The petitions, filed by their lawyers, are asking the court to declare the elections of these Mahayuti candidates as “void.” They also want access to documents and records that they claim were denied to them.
