Murder Accused Allegedly Took Cash from Widow’s Handbag, Court Hears
A man on trial for murder reportedly stole cash from a widow’s handbag and was seen gambling the next day, according to court testimony.

Wisbech: So, there’s this guy, David Newton, who’s accused of murdering an 86-year-old widow named Una Crown back in 2013. The court heard some pretty shocking stuff. Apparently, he helped himself to cash from her handbag after the crime. Can you believe that?

There’s also some DNA evidence that’s pretty crucial. They found male DNA on Una’s nail clippings that matches Newton’s. The odds of it being someone else are really slim, like 28,000 times more likely to be him or a close relative.
