Mumbai: So, there’s this 25-year-old woman from Kenya who just got denied bail in a heroin smuggling case. The court thinks she might try to skip town and could do it again. She was caught back in March 2022 with nearly 6 kilograms of heroin hidden in her luggage at the airport.

Fast forward almost three years, and her defense team tried to argue for bail, saying she passed all the security checks without any issues. They claimed that only one witness was present during her search, even though the official record says there were two. Sounds a bit fishy, right?

They also pointed out that there was no field test done on the seized drugs to confirm what they were, and no forensic report was available. But the prosecution had a different story. They said she admitted to having the drugs and knew she was smuggling illegal stuff into India.

After listening to both sides, the court decided there was enough evidence to suggest she was involved in selling a large amount of drugs. They felt there were no good reasons to believe she wouldn’t commit another crime if released on bail.
