Mumbai: So, there’s this wild story from Powai. A 37-year-old guy from Himachal Pradesh got arrested for sextortion. His name is Prabhjyot Singh, and he was demanding a whopping ₹3 crore from a 51-year-old woman.
Apparently, they met on social media and hit it off between July and December 2024. But then things took a nasty turn. Singh started blackmailing her with some pretty embarrassing videos and photos. He even pretended to be a buyer interested in iron products to get close to her.
When the woman couldn’t take it anymore, she told her husband, who urged her to go to the police. They filed a case on December 9, and the cops jumped into action.
The police managed to track Singh down after some serious detective work. They seized his phone to dig up evidence and found out he was hopping between different mobile towers. After four days of tracking him near the Himachal border, they finally caught him on December 31. Turns out, he worked for a private company back in Himachal Pradesh.
