Mumbai Central Railway Announces Traffic and Power Blocks at Karjat

Mumbai: Central Railway is gearing up for some traffic and power blocks at Karjat station. This is all part of the yard modification work. So, if you’re planning to travel, you might want to take note.
First up, there’s a block scheduled for January 10, 2025. It’ll run from 11:20 AM to 1:05 PM. During this time, the UP, DOWN, and Mid lines between Bhivpuri Road and Palasdhari stations will be affected. Suburban services between Neral and Khopoli will be canceled, and some trains will be short-terminated or short-originated from Neral.
Then, on January 12, 2025, there’s another block from 1:50 PM to 3:35 PM. This one will impact the same lines, and suburban services will not be available between Badlapur and Khopoli. A few trains will also be short-terminated at Ambernath and Badlapur during this time.
These blocks are crucial for keeping the infrastructure safe and sound. The railway folks are asking passengers to bear with them during this period. So, if you’re traveling, just plan ahead and stay updated!
