Mumbai: So, the Borivali police have filed an FIR against two builders, Pravin and Premji Satra. They’re in hot water for not sticking to a rehabilitation agreement. Instead of helping the residents, they went ahead and built another building and even sold flats without the proper approvals. Yikes!

This all kicked off when the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) complained back in January. They had given a redevelopment contract to a company back in 2004, and guess what? The Satras are the directors of that company. But here’s the kicker: they didn’t finish the redevelopment on time, and the slum residents are still waiting for their promised homes.

The SRA claims the builders broke the contract and tricked both the authorities and the residents. Because of this, the police are looking into serious charges like cheating and criminal breach of trust. It’s a pretty big deal, and it looks like the builders might have some explaining to do!
