Mumbai: So, there’s this wild case going on where some cops allegedly planted drugs on a guy at a livestock farm. It all went down in Kalina, and guess what? They got caught on CCTV, and the footage went viral. Talk about a mess!
It took the police three months to finally register a case, which happened on December 19. Prakash Khandekar, the senior inspector, mentioned that they called in the four suspended officers to record their statements. But here’s the kicker: the cops haven’t even asked for anticipatory bail yet.
The victim, Dylan Estbeiro, and his lawyer, Akshay Bhole, were shocked to find out that the police had recorded the statements without informing them. They’re pretty upset that the main culprits weren’t named and that the charges seem weak. Bhole is ready to take this to the Bombay High Court.
On August 30, some officers, including sub-inspector Vishwanath Omble, showed up at the livestock farm. They weren’t in uniform and started searching Estbeiro. Allegedly, they slipped 20 grams of mephedrone into his pocket. Can you believe that?
