This decision came after they hosted an event called ATMAN 2.0, where innovators and researchers from top institutions showcased some cool Agri-IoT research. It was a big deal, and it happened on January 6, 2025.

Researchers from various IITs and other institutes participated, showing off over 20 deeptech projects. It was a great opportunity for them to pitch their ideas and get funding. The whole event created a fund of ₹10 crore, which is a big boost for innovation.

Prof. Abhay Karandikar mentioned that ATMAN 2.0 is a significant step in advancing innovation and connecting labs with markets. It’s all about turning academic research into solutions that can really make a difference.

Prof. Milind Atrey added that this initiative helps bridge the gap between academic innovation and industry, marking a proud moment for IIT-B. They’re really focused on making research ready for the market.
