London: A mother is heartbroken over her son Marc Drostle, who’s been missing for over a month. She can’t stop worrying about him being cold, hungry, and all alone out there.
Marc, 28, was last seen after traveling to the Aviemore area in Scotland on December 12. There were some sightings of him in the Abernethy National Nature Reserve around December 19 to 21.
The last confirmed sighting was in Anagach Woods on Christmas Eve. He’s described as about 5ft 9in tall, slim, with dark hair, and was likely wearing a black puffer jacket and carrying a blue rucksack.
His family mentioned that he hadn’t been feeling well for a while. They’re really worried about how he’s managing in the cold and hope he’s found somewhere safe to stay.
Marc is known for his kind and funny nature. He’s a talented artist who makes mosaics with his dad back in South East London. He loves the outdoors and has great memories of Scotland from family trips.
His adventurous spirit means he can walk long distances, but it’s unclear how he’s been eating lately. His mum just can’t bear the thought of him struggling out there.
She’s thankful for the support from locals and appreciates the police’s hard work in searching for Marc. They’re all eager to bring him home and get him the help he needs.
Inspector Craig Johnstone shared that extensive searches have been ongoing, but they still haven’t found him. They’re asking anyone who might have seen Marc or knows anything to reach out.
They’re especially hoping that people living near the River Spey or those who walk and fish in the area will keep an eye out. Checking sheds or outbuildings for Marc is also encouraged.
If anyone has any information, they should contact Police Scotland at 101 and mention reference 1774 from December 21.
