Runcorn: So, here’s the scoop. Mike Amesbury, the suspended Labour MP, has admitted to assaulting a guy on the street. It all went down in Frodsham, Cheshire.
He showed up at Chester Magistrates’ Court and pleaded guilty to the charges. The incident involved a 45-year-old man named Paul Fellows, and it happened around 2:48 AM on October 26 last year.
Things got messy when footage surfaced, seemingly showing Amesbury throwing punches. After that, he was suspended from the Labour Party and now he’s just sitting in Parliament as an Independent.
At 55 years old, he faced a section 39 assault charge after the case was handed over to prosecutors on October 29. It’s quite a turn of events for him, that’s for sure.
