Bristol: So, there’s this mountain biker named Charlie Warman from Bath. He just pulled off an epic ride over a bridge in Bristol and now he’s got his sights set on the Clifton Suspension Bridge. How cool is that?
Charlie, who’s 20, has been biking for about five to six years. He got into it while volunteering at a charity that helps folks of all ages, including those with disabilities, get into biking. He’s done some wild stunts on bridges around Bristol and Bath.
Recently, he rode over the Feeder Road bridge, and locals were there to catch the action. He said it felt “amazing” once he finished. Can you imagine the rush?
He describes himself as an “adrenaline junkie” and dreams of riding over the Clifton Suspension Bridge someday. He wants to make it a big deal, with the road closed off and everything filmed. Sounds like a plan!
Charlie shared that the first time he attempted the ride, he took a moment to gather himself at the top. He was surprised by how steep it was compared to what he saw on maps. He had friends on either side of the bridge to help keep an eye out for pedestrians, which was smart.
He loves the thrill of biking and believes it lifts his spirits. He’s got big dreams and wants to take on even bigger challenges. Riding over the Clifton Suspension Bridge would mean the world to him.
In March, he’s heading to France for the Megavalanche mountain bike event. It’s a crazy race down the French Alps, covering 12 miles and dropping over 2,600 meters. Thousands of bikers will be there, and he’s super excited, though he’s a bit worried about his bike.
Charlie often shares his stunts on Instagram, so if you want to see what he’s up to, check him out there!
