Nashville: So, Morgan Wallen just pleaded guilty to some misdemeanors after that wild chair-throwing incident at Eric Church’s bar back in April. Can you believe it?
The guy showed up in court recently, and when the judge asked how he pleaded, he said “conditionally guilty.” It’s a bit of a twist, right? He’s got to spend a week in a DUI education center and then will be on probation for two years.
Originally, he was in hot water for tossing a chair off the roof and almost hitting some cops. But thankfully, the charges got reduced to just two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment without a weapon. That’s a relief!
His lawyer mentioned that if he completes his probation successfully, the charges could be dismissed. Wallen’s been cooperating with the authorities and has even apologized to everyone involved. He’s trying to turn things around and focus on his music and foundation.
He was released on a hefty $15,000 bail and had to juggle court dates with his tour schedule. After the incident, he took to social media to express his regret and said he’s been in touch with law enforcement and the folks at the bar. He’s not proud of what happened and is taking responsibility.
Apparently, the chair-throwing was triggered by some personal stuff. He found out that his ex-fiancée had married someone else, and it hit him hard. It’s tough to see someone you care about move on, especially when you share a kid together.
Despite all this drama, Wallen is still a big name in country music. He even snagged two Grammy nominations recently for his song “I Had Some Help.” Plus, he’s won a bunch of awards over the years, so it’s clear he’s still got a lot of fans out there.
