Derbyshire: So, there’s been quite a scene in the Peak District lately. More than 200 cars decided to double-park, and guess what? They blocked the council gritters from doing their job.
Yesterday, some of those cars got towed away. And if you were one of those drivers who stopped for a bit of rambling, you might have found a penalty notice waiting for you at Rushup Edge.
It’s been a wild winter, with freezing fog rolling through the South East and kids having a blast leapfrogging snowmen in Harrogate. Meanwhile, a fire engine even slid into the River Taff in Cardiff. Yikes!
Temperatures have been dropping like crazy, hitting lows of -13.9C in Kinbrace, Scotland. The UK Health Security Agency has been on high alert, warning about the cold and its impact on health.
But don’t worry, it looks like this cold snap is about to wrap up. The Met Office is predicting temperatures will bounce back to more normal levels soon. So, hang in there!
