Buckie: A man named Sean McDowell was sentenced for breaking his curfew. He was supposed to stay home but chose to go to a pub instead.

He got bail on December 5, agreeing to stay indoors at night. But on January 26, police found him missing from his home on Baron Street.

When officers called his phone, he admitted he was at a bar nearby. They arrested him, and he initially cooperated. But things changed when they took him into custody.

Fiscal depute Karen Poke said he became irate and aggressive. He even threatened an officer, saying, “I will break your jaw.”

His lawyer, Matthew O’Neill, explained that McDowell thought he could be outside until 8 PM on Sundays. He apologized for his behavior.

In the end, McDowell received a £210 fine and nine months to pay it. Sheriff Philip Mann also ordered him to complete 120 hours of community service.
