Elgin: Moray Council is getting ready to cut down and replace eight trees in Cooper Park and Grant Park. They’re teaming up with Speyside Tree Services Ltd. for this project.

In Cooper Park, they’ll be pruning 120 trees and removing damaged branches. Plus, they’ll take down six trees and plant new ones later on. It’s all about keeping the park looking good and safe.

Over in Grant Park, they’ll work on 74 trees, with two more being removed and replaced. Councillor Marc Macrae, who leads the Infrastructure Services committee, emphasized the importance of this maintenance. He believes it will boost the parks’ beauty and health.

He also asked everyone to respect any barriers set up during the work and apologized for any hassle it might cause. It’s all for a good cause, after all!
