Monmouthshire County Council Approves New Planning Applications
Monmouthshire County Council has approved several planning applications, including outdoor lighting, extensions, and tree work across various locations.
Outdoor lighting
An application for extra outdoor lighting at Grove Farm, Llanfoist, has been approved.
Garage/carport
Plans to replace a barn with a four-bay garage/carport at Pen Yr Heol, Llanvihangel Gobion, have been approved. Work must start within five years.
Solar array
A ground-mounted solar PV array at Yew Tree Cottage, Llandewi Rhydderch, has been approved. It must be removed if no longer needed for electricity.
Extension
The council approved existing extensions at Parc Lettis, Coldbrook, which have been in place for over four years.
Carport
Plans for a detached carport at Cae Caws Barn, Penallt, have been approved. A bird box and bat shelter must be added within three months.
Tree work
An application for crown thinning on an oak tree near Manor Wood Cottage, The Narth, has been approved after storm damage.
Rear extension
Plans for a two-storey rear extension at 92 Newtown Road, Goytre, have been approved. Biodiversity features must be maintained.
Annex
A single-storey two-bed annex at Yew Tree Farm, Glascoed, has been approved. It must be used for residential purposes only.
Tree works
Plans for crown reduction on several trees at 8 Barton Bridge Close, Raglan, have been approved due to overgrowth and decay.
Wooden Celtic roundhouse
A 7m by 4.5m wooden Celtic roundhouse at Llandegfedd Visitor Centre has been approved. A construction plan must be approved before work starts.
Non-material amendment
An amendment for planning at The Old Barn, Llansoar, has been approved, changing the design to stone piers with aluminium doors.
Garden shed
Plans for a garden shed at Rosedale, Llandogo, have been approved. Ecological enhancements must be implemented after completion.
Discharge of conditions
An application for the discharge of conditions at Merrils Garage, Caerwent, has been approved.
