Chicago: So, on Monday night, ESPN wrapped up the 2024 season with a doubleheader. They had two games going at once, and it was a big deal.

They shared that the overlap of the Bears versus Vikings on ABC and the Falcons against Raiders on ESPN pulled in about 17.8 million viewers. That’s a lot of eyes on the screen!

But here’s the kicker: they didn’t break down how many people watched each game separately. It’s a bit of a mystery.

Honestly, a lot of folks, including me, aren’t fans of these doubleheaders. It would be way better to just show one game at a time, right?

On the bright side, it seems like ESPN and ABC have finally ditched those live look-ins. Thank goodness! Most of us can just use split screens or have multiple devices to catch the action.

And really, why have two games overlapping in prime time? They could easily move one to Tuesday night. It just makes sense.

We all know it’s only a matter of time before they figure that out. Just go ahead and make the change already!
