Jason, who’s 50, ended up getting hit with a metal bar right at his own home. The whole thing was caught on camera, and it was pretty shocking. The takeaway workers, who run a place called Dante’s, were seen waving metal bars around and threatening neighbors.
It all kicked off after Jason tossed some of his £35 order back into the delivery driver’s car. He was really upset because the food was two hours late and lukewarm. The driver, Sadiq Yildirim, didn’t take it well and ended up assaulting Jason. Then, Sadiq’s sons, Cerkez and Erkan, showed up and made things even crazier.
The video showed Sadiq arguing with Jason on his doorstep, and when Jason threw the food back, Sadiq grabbed a metal bar. It escalated quickly, with the brothers arriving and acting all aggressive. They were banging on windows and shouting threats, which was just insane.
Neighbors were shocked, calling the brothers bullies and saying it was ridiculous that all this fuss was over a cold kebab. Jason’s wife even had to call the police to get them to leave. Eventually, the three men were arrested and later pleaded guilty to various charges.
In court, the judge called their behavior deplorable and said it was a terrible incident that could have been avoided. He pointed out that they should have just returned the food instead of escalating things to that level. Sentencing is set for February, and the Goldie family is still shaken up by the whole ordeal. They’ve even added extra security cameras at their home.
