Crewe: So, there was this wild scene in Crewe where the police busted into a house that was totally packed with cannabis plants. It all went down on a Monday morning at 8:09 AM on Wood Street.
When they got inside, they found not just the plants but also discovered that the electricity had been tampered with. Scottish Power had to come in to sort things out and make the place safe. They ended up arresting a 35-year-old woman on suspicion of growing cannabis.
PC Justin Taylor mentioned they took away 119 plants and a bunch of growing gear. He reassured the community that they really do listen to tips from the public and take action.
Now, if you’re wondering how to spot a cannabis farm, there are a few signs to look out for. You might notice a really strong, sweet smell or see equipment like lights and fans being brought in. If the windows are always covered or if you see people coming and going at odd hours, that’s a red flag.
Also, keep an ear out for a constant buzzing sound from ventilation systems and look for high heat levels or misty windows. Sometimes, you might even see a lot of power cables running around, as some folks try to avoid paying for the electricity they use.
If you suspect a cannabis farm or any drug-related activity, don’t hesitate to reach out to Cheshire Constabulary at 101, or you can report it online or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
