Mexico City: Mohamed Salah recently opened up about learning Spanish, but he made it clear that it doesn’t mean he’s planning to move to Spain anytime soon. He’s focused on his game with Liverpool.
With his contract ending this season, there’s a lot of buzz around Salah. Everyone knows he’s a hot commodity, especially with the way he’s been playing lately. But most of the chatter is about whether he’ll stay at Liverpool or head to Saudi Arabia.
In an interview with TNT Sports Mexico, Salah said, “I’m just learning the language a little, and I can say things like ‘how are you?’ but that doesn’t mean I’m considering living in Spain.” He’s not giving any hints about a move to La Liga.
He also mentioned that he and Liverpool are still far from agreeing on a contract renewal. There were talks last December about him signing a two-year extension, but nothing has materialized yet. “It’s the last six months [of my time at Liverpool],” he noted. “We are far away from any progress.”
Despite the uncertainty, Salah is having an incredible season, with 20 goals and 17 assists in just 26 games. He’s driven by a strong desire to help Liverpool win the Premier League. “Honestly, the most important thing for me is to win the Premier League and be a big part of that,” he said. He wants to be remembered as someone who made a difference for the team.
