Aberdeen: Two sisters, Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, have been missing for over a week. They didn’t tell their family they were planning to leave their rented flat.

The last sighting of the sisters was on CCTV at Market Street near Victoria Bridge. They were seen walking towards the River Dee around 2:12 AM on January 7.

Search efforts have been extensive, involving police helicopters and divers. Authorities are focusing on the River Dee since there’s no evidence they left the area.

Interestingly, the sisters had been planning to move out but didn’t mention it to their family. Their brother, Jozsef, said they even spoke to their mom the Saturday before they disappeared and didn’t mention any plans.

He found it odd that they sent a message to their landlady about ending their tenancy without telling anyone. Jozsef mentioned they were financially stable and saving to buy a home.

Police are keeping an open mind about what happened but haven’t found any signs of foul play. They noted that the sisters’ behavior on the day they vanished was unusual.

Superintendent David Howieson said they’re focusing on the river in their search, but they’re not ruling out other possibilities. The sisters are described as white, slim, with long brown hair.

Police Scotland is working with their family back in Hungary and is urging anyone with information to come forward. The family is understandably worried and just wants the sisters to be found.

If you have any information, please contact Police Scotland at 101, quoting incident number 0735 from January 7.
