London: A search has been underway for 12 days for two charity workers, Sam Harris and Aziz Ziriat. They went missing on January 1, and it’s been a tough time for everyone involved.

Sadly, rescuers found Sam Harris’s body in the Passo di Conca area on Wednesday. It’s heartbreaking news for his family and friends.

On Sunday, the rescue team announced they were pausing the search for Aziz Ziriat for the day. They had been looking for him since Saturday when some of his belongings were discovered.

Aziz is 36 years old and stands at 6’3”, while Sam was 35 and 5’11”. They both worked for Palace for Life, the charity linked to Crystal Palace FC.

Spencer Jones, Sam’s best friend and business partner, shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. He expressed how devastated he felt and highlighted their long friendship of 23 years.

Spencer mentioned that Sam was incredibly knowledgeable and that their journey in building the business together was unforgettable.

As of Sunday, over 100 rescuers were still searching for Aziz. They were combing through a large area of snow, using a dog unit to help in the search.

They tracked the mobile phones of both men to the location where their backpacks were found, but unfortunately, there’s been no sign of Aziz yet.

As the day ended, the search was called off due to darkness, but hopes remain high for Aziz’s safe return.
