Misfit Productions Brings Adult Panto Red Hot Riding Hood to Grantham

Grantham: Pantomime season is wrapping up, but there’s still fun to be had. Misfit Productions is back with a new adult play, Red Hot Riding Hood. It opens next week at the Guildhall Arts Centre and promises to be bigger and naughtier than ever.
This is Misfit Productions’ fourth year, and ticket sales are booming. They’ve even added an extra performance due to high demand. Only 20 tickets remain out of 1,128!
The story features the Big Bad Wolf chasing the Three Little Pigs into a lively village. Here, the bakery serves delicious treats and plenty of gossip. Red Riding Hood is blissfully unaware of the chaos around her.
The village heartthrob is the local woodsman, and every woman wants him. Meanwhile, the village schoolteacher runs a scandalous program from her cabin, known as Granny’s Love Shack. And there’s the village idiot, who’s been held back in school so many times he might as well retire!
Trying to keep things on track is the fairy godmother, who’s a bit past her prime but still aims for a happy ending. Expect singing, dancing, and lots of cheeky fun as this wild adventure unfolds.
Simon Selby and Anita Lane lead this unique local theatre group. They mix former professionals with passionate amateurs. “We create our shows from scratch,” Simon explains. “Every script is original, and every costume is made with love.”
The cast has been rehearsing since September at The Grantham School of Dancing. “The energy is electric, and we’re ready to deliver our best show yet,” Simon adds.
