Melbourne: Millions of Australians are bracing for a serious heatwave. Temperatures are expected to climb into the low to mid-40s in many areas. It’s going to be a scorcher!

According to Sky News Meteorologist Alison Osborne, places like Mildura and Swan Hill in Victoria could see temps hit 46C on Monday. Broken Hill might reach 44C. Yikes!

Osborne mentioned that parts of western New South Wales, including Broken Hill and Griffith, are likely to exceed 45C. This could be the hottest it’s been in four years!

Fire weather warnings are also in effect for eastern South Australia and parts of Victoria, including the Melbourne area. So, it’s not just hot; it’s dangerous too.

As the weekend rolls in, heatwave warnings are being issued across multiple states, including NSW, ACT, and Queensland. The Bureau of Meteorology is keeping a close eye on things.

They’ve warned that severe heat can be risky, especially for older folks, babies, and anyone with health issues. Staying cool is key, so find a nice spot like a library or shopping center.

Make sure to close your windows and draw the blinds early to keep the heat out. If you have fans or air conditioning, now’s the time to use them!

Extreme fire danger warnings are also in place for several regions in Victoria. It’s going to be a hot weekend, and the heat will continue into Monday.

In South Australia, they’re expecting a scorcher too, with temps up to 12C above average in the north. It’s going to be a hot one!

Sydney is looking at 32C by Tuesday, while Melbourne could hit 41C on Monday. Brisbane will be a bit cooler, ranging from 28C to 30C.

Adelaide is in for a 40C day on Sunday, and Hobart is expected to reach 32C. Canberra will be hot too, hitting 38C. Darwin will stay warm, with temps between 34C and 35C.
