Tragic House Fire in Erith Claims Life of Elderly Woman
A woman was found dead following a house fire in Mill Road, Erith, prompting an investigation by local authorities

Erith: Emergency services rushed to a house fire on Mill Road around 5:45 PM on January 11. It was a serious situation, with part of the ground floor damaged.
When they got there, they found a woman inside the house. Sadly, she was pronounced dead right at the scene. Her family has been notified, but they haven’t officially identified her yet.
As for what caused the fire, that’s still a mystery. The authorities are looking into it, and we’ve reached out to the London Fire Brigade for more details.
A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police shared that they’re investigating the incident. They confirmed that an 86-year-old woman lost her life in this tragic event.
Emergency responders were on the scene quickly. The London Ambulance Service sent a team, including an ambulance crew and a paramedic, who arrived in just six minutes. They did their best to help, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.
