Mumbai: On January 11, the city woke up to a foggy morning. The temperatures were mild, making it feel quite pleasant. However, the air quality took a hit, dropping to a moderate AQI of 164. This has led health officials to issue advisories for residents, especially those with respiratory issues.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted partly cloudy skies with some haze throughout the day. The cooler mornings and lower humidity have given Mumbai a nice wintry vibe. Today, the temperature is around 28°C, with a high of 31°C and a low of 21°C. Winds are gentle at about 10 km/h, and the humidity is sitting at 46%.

Looking ahead, the IMD has shared forecasts for the week. On Saturday, temperatures will range from 19°C to 32°C, with humidity creeping up to 50%. By Monday, expect mostly clear skies with temperatures fluctuating between 22°C and 32°C. The pattern continues with steady temperatures and clear skies through midweek.

As for air quality, the current AQI of 164 is a drop from recent days, putting it in the moderate category. Health experts are advising caution, particularly for kids and those with asthma. It’s a good idea to limit outdoor activities during busy traffic times and consider wearing masks or using air purifiers.

As the week goes on, we might see clearer skies and stable temperatures, making it a great time to enjoy the outdoors—just keep an eye on that air quality!
