London: Michael Owen has been chatting about Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future. He thinks it’s just a matter of time before Trent makes a move to Real Madrid. Owen believes talks have already happened between Trent’s camp and Madrid.

Trent, who’s 26, is in the last year of his contract with Liverpool. There’s been a lot of buzz about him heading to Santiago Bernabéu. Reports say Madrid has made an offer to grab him in January.

Since he can talk to foreign clubs starting in January, he could leave Liverpool for free at the end of the season. But Madrid seems ready to pay up to get him sooner rather than later.

Right now, Liverpool isn’t keen on letting him go, especially with their new manager aiming for the Premier League title. But Owen thinks it’s clear that Madrid is serious about signing Trent.

He tweeted that it’s likely Trent’s team has already had discussions with Madrid. Owen feels confident that Trent will eventually join the European champions, no matter when it happens.

Owen sees Madrid’s interest as a big deal. He said, “The fact that Real Madrid has shown interest means it’s only a matter of time before he signs with them.” He believes if Trent was planning to stay, Madrid wouldn’t have made their move.

Owen knows a thing or two about moving clubs, having left Liverpool for Madrid back in 2004. He spent just one season there before moving on, and he understands the mixed feelings that come with such a big change.

He warned Trent about losing control over his career if he leaves Anfield. Owen said it can feel strange to be somewhere that doesn’t feel like home, especially when you’ve grown up at a club.

He also cautioned that if Trent moves to Madrid and things don’t go as planned, he might find it tough to return to Liverpool later on. It’s a tricky situation, and Owen knows it all too well.
