Cardiff: So, the Met Office is giving us a heads-up about some snow showers as the temperatures dip in the UK. It’s been a bit of a mixed bag lately, with cold weather and some foggy and snowy days, especially in Wales.
And guess what? It looks like this chilly weather isn’t going anywhere soon. The long-range forecast from the Met Office suggests we might see some snow in the coming weeks. Just a heads-up, though: their long-range forecasts aren’t as spot-on as the five-day ones.
They say it’s more of a “broad description” of what’s to come, and a lot can change the weather. For the week from January 20 to January 29, they think we might have some dry spells with a mix of clouds and light winds.
Oh, and if you’re curious, the far northwest and possibly the far south of the UK might see the most rain. But don’t worry, temperatures should stay around average.
Later in the week, we could be in for some wetter and windier weather, moving from northwest to southeast. There’s even a chance that the winds could shift to the east, bringing in colder air and the risk of snow showers.
Looking ahead to January 30 through February 13, there’s a chance of more snow. The forecast suggests a flow from the Atlantic, which means we might have a milder and windier period. But don’t let your guard down; there could still be some colder spells with frost, ice, and snow after any deep lows pass through.
