Cardiff: So, it looks like Wales is in for some more chilly weather soon. The Met Office has been keeping an eye on things and says we might see another cold snap coming up. While it’s not as cold as last week, when we had some snow, we shouldn’t get too comfy just yet.
They’re predicting that from the end of January into early February, we could start with some mild weather, but then things might take a turn. It sounds like we could be in for some deep lows, which means colder spells could be on the way.
From January 27 to February 10, the forecast suggests we’ll have a mix of milder and windier weather, with rain and strong winds likely affecting most of the UK. But don’t let that fool you; there’s still a chance for frost, ice, and even snow after those deep lows roll through.
Before that, though, it seems like we’ll have some wet weather to deal with. The Met Office is saying that from January 18 to 27, we can expect unsettled conditions, with high pressure hanging around the southeast of the UK for a bit. So, it might be a bit drizzly here and there.
They also mentioned that while it’ll be mostly dry, we could see some light drizzle, especially if it gets cold enough to freeze. And as we move further into January, low pressure is likely to take over, bringing rain and wind to most areas.
Wales, in particular, might see some heavy rain soon. On January 13, parts of Wales could get hit with some serious downpours, especially in Anglesey. By the evening, rain will be moving in from the Irish Sea, so keep your umbrellas handy!
Looking ahead to January 14-16, the Met Office thinks we might have a mix of dry and cloudy weather, with some drizzle here and there. Daytime temps should be pretty normal, but we might see some frost at night.
