London: The Met Office has put out a yellow ice warning for the city. This alert started on Wednesday evening and will last until this morning.

After the rain and snow, the roads are pretty slick. So, if you’re heading out, be careful. The Met Office says untreated surfaces could be icy and dangerous.

They mentioned that the west side of London might see icy conditions first, while some eastern areas might just be on the edge of freezing.

Plus, there’s an amber cold-health alert in effect until January 12. More freezing temperatures are expected this week, so stay warm!

Snow and sleet hit southern England on Wednesday, and the Met Office warns that more alerts could come as the week progresses.

Today, expect a cold start with some icy patches. The clouds should clear up a bit, leading to a sunny day, but it’ll still be chilly with a high of just 4°C.

Tonight will be another frosty one, with temperatures dropping to around -6°C. Some clouds will roll in from the west, but it’ll still be cold.

Looking ahead to Friday, more clouds will move in, and there might be some light rain in the west. Early fog should clear up, but it’ll remain cold.

For the weekend, expect dry and cold conditions with widespread frost. Temperatures will slowly start to rise by Sunday and Monday, but not by much.
