Mercer Island: The police have figured out who was behind that nasty hate crime at Islander Middle School. They recently shared that two suspects were identified.

It all went down on January 1 when these two individuals snuck onto the school grounds and vandalized the building with some really offensive antisemitic and racist graffiti.

Now, the authorities are treating this as a hate crime, which is totally understandable given the circumstances.

Just a few hours after they released the suspects’ photos, tips from the community helped the police nail down their identities. It’s great to see people stepping up!

The police mentioned that detectives are still on the case and will keep everyone updated as they learn more. They really appreciate the community’s help in this investigation.

They also shared some details about what the suspects were wearing. One guy had on camo pants, a black balaclava, and a “Paradise Varsity Bomber Jacket” from PacSun.

The other suspect was dressed in a dark hoodie and sweatpants, with either a red face mask or bandana covering his face. They even got some surveillance photos of them without their masks on.
